SCHEME OF ASSESMENT AND EXAMINATIONS FOR STD.III TO VIII
Assessment of Scholastic Areas will Comprise of 2 Terms, Terms 1 and Terms 2 Term will be of 100 Marks which will be Calculated as follows.
TERM – 1

TERM – 2

With regards to the syllabus for the written yearly exam of 80 marks, the weight age will be as follows.
Class VI: 10% of the 1st Term Syllabus covering of significant topic + Entire Syllabus of 2nd Term
Class VII: 20% of the 1st Term Syllabus covering of significant topic + Entire Syllabus of 2ndTerm
Class VIII :30% of the 1st Term Syllabus covering of significant topic + Entire Syllabus of 2ndTerm
Subject Enrichment Assessment in language may consists of listening and speaking skills for Mathematics it may consists of various Maths Lab Activities for Science it may consists of Practical Work and Activities for Social Science it may consists of Maps and Project Work.
For holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the areas in aspect of regularity sincere participation, output and teamwork will form the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities.
a) Work education which involves skill based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community.
b) Art education which involves visual and Performing Arts.
c) Health and Physical Education which involves Sports and yoga
Student are also required to be assessed for discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerely , behaviour, values and tidiness, respectfulness for rules & regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others.
Parents are requested to go all these points in details and familiarize themselves with the new scheme of assessment and examination as introduced by the CBSE so as to ensure that their child is able to make necessary adjustments in their preparation schedule to do well and excel in the examinations.
